One curious point which I heard picked up on a Biblical Time Machine episode on Judas, is Paul’s reference to the twelve in 1 Cor 15:5.
This suggests that Jesus appeared to all 12 disciples, which, to be numerically correct, must have included Judas, the betrayer. But none of the gospels includes Judas in any of the post resurrection tales. If the tradition referred to in 1 Cor 15:5 is correct, then the story of Judas betraying Jesus may have been invented after Paul.
Another little oddity hidden in the text!
